I would like to apply for one of the units that are available this year.  The topic I am interested in is ‘Assessment in the Key Competencies’.

I believe that the Key Competencies are central to everything we do in school and in life and their importance is often overlooked in our busy teaching and learning schedule.

I would like to carry out research, including trialing a variety of self, peer and teacher assessments in my own classroom first.  Successful strategies could then be shared and built on in other classrooms.

My goal is to formulate a key competency assessment strategy that is simple, useful and empowering to students.
