Children I will use to monitor the success of my teaching focus

Measurement / Assessment of effectiveness will be in maths because it is black and white and straight forward to measure.

Tutees:

CM - Lacks confidence in Maths.  Clearly feels uncomfortable during maths workshops with the class teacher (I have observed this and his previous teachers have also).

Nath, Cecily, Ash and Crys (Stage 4 - Early 5) - all needing basic facts and basic place value knowledge.

Ariana and Lily - Both lacking in maths confidence.  Both stress about making mistakes, not 'getting it' straight away, getting answers wrong where others get them correct.

Tutors:
This will be a range of students, depending on the subject.  There will be two types of tutors

  1. Those who have recently mastered or almost mastered a concept eg if they have just moved up a workshop, they may tutor someone who is on the workshop they have just mastered.
  2. There is a big gap between most of the class (Stage 6 -7) and four who are Stage 4 to Early Stage 5.
